Rex's 3rd Birthday!

What a fun day! We had Rex's 3rd Birthday at the L&N Depot here in Bowling Green. Rex is VERY into trains right now, so I thought it would be appropriate to celebrate on the caboose!!! He had a good time and his/our friends and family did as well. He had his cousins, Reese and Reagan, and his friends, Carter and Emmy at his party. Oh, and little brother Ty was there to join in the fun as well. :) Uncle Trey and Aunt Jamie were there...thank you! They were a really big help to us, as always :)

Aunt Jamie and I picking up all the balloons- I'm kinda a balloon freak, I love lots of balloons at birthday parties! It's a good thing too...these kids loved them too!

I love this of Rex- he really does love trains. He asked specifically for a Thomas and Gordon cake...and that's what he got :)

A Day Out With Thomas!

On June 6 we had a big outing! Travis and I had planned on taking Rex and Tyson to a Day Out with Thomas for months. We were so excited- I think Travis and I were more excited about the trip than the boys were. Unfortunatly, Travis had his accident the week before and had surgery on his nose a couple days before Thomas, so I prayed...and prayed...and prayed...and took the boys by myself. We went to New Haven KY which is about an hour and half from here. I picked up a new DVD- Thomas and the Magic Railroad :) and set it up in the car the night before and packed special snacks for our big day. The boys and I had a great time. I definetly recommend taking your kids to this event. There is sooo much to do. We didn't even see and do half of what was offered. There was a lego tent, bounce house, magic show, story time, mini train rides, singing, model train exhibits, tatoos, face painting, miniture golf...you get the picture...lots of fun to be had by all! The most fun was riding on Thomas the train! Rex was so excited...but it's hard to keep a 2 year old patient. I will never forget his face when we got on the train and picked out our seats. He was so excited. The most exciting part of all was when the conductor came by and asked for your ticket and punched it...just like on Polar Express!!!! Rex thought this was the best thing ever! It was a very special day for us. I was really glad to be home though :) and wished Travis could have been there with us! Here are some photos of our day...

Thomas!!!

Rex eating his bracelet- I kept telling him if he chewed it off they wouldn't let him on the train.

Rex on the train- sorry, this is the best I could get of him

All of us- there were some trying times :) But at least I have pics!

Lunch

Ty was soooo good! Here he is pooped after our big train ride.

Getting ready to climb up to the top of the big black engine- I think this was Rex's favorite part of the day- he still talks about climbing to the top of the big black engine to pull the bell!

Playing with Reese and Reagan

We went and played over at Reese and Reagan's. I snapped a few cute pics of the boys while they were playing.

New Driveway!

We had our driveway re-sealed...long over-due. The boys thought it was great! The men noticed the boys watching them and they were very friendly and waved at them and smiled.

Here is when the truck arrived...

Blowing all the leaves and dirt off the driveway- Rex liked this- he said, "Look it's all clean!"

Pouring on the sealer- Rex did not like this- he said, "That man better clean that mud all up- it's a mess!"

Moving the sealer all around...

Still moving it around...

Taping off the driveway- we can't walk on it for 48 hours...this was fascinating to Rex.

All Done!

Funny Sound

I really wish I had gotten this on video sooner...this clip just shows the sound as a novelty. Tyson is the one who discovered that blowing on the couch would make a funny noise. The boys were laughing so hard!

Fun with Gam Gam and Papa

I only have a few pictures...I need more! For some reason we didn't upload all the pics on our computer and burn cd's before my parents left. I know my parents have a lot on their camera- including the trip to the train station they took with Rex!
